Abstract

Método: Foram avaliados 28 indivíduos com idade entre 6 e 16 anos, grupo ASD (GEA = 14) e grupo controle (GC = 14) pareados por sexo e idade. As habilidades motoras foram avaliadas pela escala de Avaliação do Movimento para Crianças (M-ABC2) e pela escala de comportamentos autistas (ATA). Resultados: 85% (12/14) do ASDG tiveram dificuldades motoras significativas em relação aos seus pares, o ASDG apresentou desempenho motor inferior ao esperado (p <0,001) com uma correlação moderada entre traços autistas e habilidades com a bola (r = 0,311, p = 0,278). Conclusão: crianças / adolescentes com TEA apresentam déficits no desempenho motor, independentemente da gravidade dos traços autistas.     He holds a bachelor's degree in Physiotherapy from the Pontifical Catholic University of Campinas (1985), a Masters and PhD in Physical Education from the State University of Campinas (1991 and 1995). He is currently associate professor II of Universidade Presbiteriana Mackenzie - SP, in full time regime, where he implanted and coordinated the Physical Therapy Course between 02/2007 and 02/2011. She is a Professor of the Graduate Program in Developmental Disorders, conducting Master's studies since 2002 and PhD since 2009. She is the editor of the Graduate Studies in Developmental Disorders. He has experience in the area of Physical Therapy, with emphasis in children's neurology and interdisciplinary studies, working mainly in the following subjects: Motor Development: evaluation and intervention, Social Inclusion, People with Disabilities, Down Syndrome, Cerebral Palsy, Motor Dexterity and Virtual Reality.

  3. Denise Castilho Cabrera SANTOS, PhD, Piracicaba Methodist University Piracicaba-SP, Brazil.

    Graduated in Physiotherapy from the Paulista State University Júlio de Mesquita Filho (1991) and a Ph.D. in Medical Sciences from the State University of Campinas (2001). Visiting Scholar at Motor Development Lab / Texas A & M University (1998-1999). She is a researcher at NUPEM - Research Center on Human Movement. Between 05/2014 and 07/2015, he completed postdoctoral training at the Center for Human Growth and Development, University of Michigan, Ann Arbor / MI. She was a professor in the Postgraduate Program (PPG) in Physiotherapy (PPG-Ft) between 3003-3015 and the PPG in Human Movement Sciences between 2013-06 / 2018 of the Faculty of Health Sciences of the Methodist University of Piracicaba (FACIS / UNIMEP). Coordinated between 2011-2013 PPG-Ft / FACIS / UNIMEP. Coordinated between April 2013-April 2014 the PPG-Sciences of the Human Movement of FACIS / UNIMEP. He has experience in the area of ​​Physical Therapy, with emphasis on pediatrics and neurofunctional physiotherapy, working mainly on the following topics: neuromotor development of the infant, influencing factors and indicators of risk to children development, affordances or possibilities of action in the family environment of infants. She is the author, along with Professors Carl Gabbard (Texas A & M University) and Priscila Caçola (University of Texas - Arlington), of the Affordances in the home environment for motor development - Infant Scale (AHEMD-IS).
